Garden Designers Roundtable began in December 2009, when four professional landscape and garden designers who write blogs teamed up and asked themselves the question: Does Your Garden Designer Practice What He/She Preaches? This event was so well received that the original group expanded to include blogging designers from across the U.S. In 2010 they led off with the topic “Regional Diversity in Design”, exchanging ideas and sparking conversations with their readers all over the world.
Garden Designers Roundtable now includes 21 professional landscape and garden designers from all across the United States and Great Britain. Join us each month as we explore and discuss the world of garden design.
Look forward to reading your wisdom and wisecracks this year.
Hope you find our musings interesting Vanessa, Thanks for the comments!
Scott, how can I be one of your GDRT bloggers?
I have been in the profession for almost 40 years, have a design/build firm with well known clients and a great blog!

Hi Jan, Thanks for your interest in joining the Roundtable. We are a new group, and as such are not looking to add new bloggers at this point in time. There will be opportunities in the future for others to become guest bloggers by invitation, so I will keep your information on file. In the mean time I hope you will visit our Facebook fan page and join in on the discussions there. All the best, Scott!
will do! and when you find an opening – count me in!
Love it! Looking forward to the 1% next week. I have to add “Make sure your client can manage their new plants” – I’ve planted far too many different areas in my garden and don’t have time to take care of them, spending my evenings and weekends helping clients make their gardens incredible. Resolution for 2011 perhaps.
Great tip Heather! Thanks for the comments and hope you enjoy next week’s posting!
I was wondering the same thing as Jan Johnsen’s question – an FAQ page may be in order (please?)
Jennifer, A FAQ page is a great idea, thanks for the suggestion. We will look into creating one this off season.
Hi there
I wondered if you would consider a blogger from London, UK to join your roundtable. I have been blogging for a few years now and regularly update our blog with what happens in our design studio week by week, as well as our latest presentations, musings, views and happenings in the world of a London Garden design and build company. Can I be considered for your round table?
Hi Katrina, Thanks for the inquiry. We do consider new bloggers from time to time, and I will pass your note on to the group. At this time we have not scheduled expanding the group though.
